In September of 2007, Michael was awarded the commission for a public sculpture to be situated in Palo Alto's Mitchell Park, just blocks from the artist's childhood home. Scheduled for installation in mid 2008, the piece represents the nurturing and inspiration the park has provided to Michael and so many others from the surrounding community.
